Medacoin / Medabots: the €30+ million heist behind a crashed token
At its peak Medacoin (also marketed as Medabots) was valued at over €100 million. Today it is worthless. The investigation team has gathered consistent reporting and on-chain indications that Fadi Khalil (Mrchapten) personally extracted in excess of €30 million from the project — the single largest known loss across his portfolio of ventures.

How the project collapsed
Medacoin was promoted by Fadi Khalil — known across the crypto scene under his recurring alias "Mrchapten", the handle he reuses on every one of his crypto projects — and his network as a flagship blockchain venture, with a sister gaming brand (Medabots) used to drive retail enthusiasm. Marketing leaned heavily on Khalil's public-facing lifestyle — galas, luxury cars, celebrity adjacency — to lend the project credibility. At its peak the token traded at a fully-diluted valuation north of €100 million.
From late 2022 onwards, multiple independent sources and on-chain trails point to large outflows from project-controlled wallets to addresses linked to Khalil personally. Conservative reconstruction by the investigation team places the extracted value at €30 million or more. Liquidity evaporated, the token crashed, and retail holders — many in the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and the Gulf — were left with nothing.
Of all the schemes documented in this investigation, Medacoin is the single largest financial loss attributable to Fadi Khalil. It dwarfs the real-estate, gala and loan-driven fraud lines combined.
While Fadi Khalil is the visible face of every project — the one on stage, in the photographs, behind the wheel of the branded Lamborghini — investigators consistently identify his brother Imad K. as the operational brain behind the criminal activity. Imad deliberately stays out of public view: no gala appearances, minimal social media, no signed promotional contracts.
Multiple sources describe a deliberate division of labour: Imad designs the structures, controls key wallets and corporate vehicles, and directs strategy; Fadi executes the public-facing fundraising, signs the documents and absorbs the exposure. Victims overwhelmingly remember Fadi — but the money trail repeatedly leads back to entities under Imad's control.
Treating this as a "Fadi Khalil case" alone risks letting the real architect remain untouched. Any serious legal or regulatory response needs to follow the chain back to Imad K. as well.
Whereabouts unknown — believed to have fled outside Europe
Imad K.'s current location is not confirmed. Consistent reporting suggests he is no longer in Europe and has deliberately gone to ground in a non-extradition-friendly jurisdiction. Sightings, addresses, business registrations, travel records, social-media traces — any information at all is welcome.
If you know something, or even suspect something, please report it directly through the form below. Anonymous submissions are encouraged.
Call to victims worldwide
If you lost money in Medacoin / Medabots, in any other Fadi Khalil project, or through a direct loan or "investment" with Fadi or Imad K. — please come forward. The more jurisdictions and the more documented losses we can pool, the harder it becomes for the Khalil brothers to hide behind borders.
Our urgent advice
File a criminal report with your local authorities immediately, regardless of which country you live in. Cross-border fraud cases gain weight as the number of independent police filings grows. Even a short statement at your local station creates an official trace that international cooperation later relies on.
Whether you have already filed, are planning to file, or are still deciding — use the form below to let us know where (city + country) you are or have reported. Submissions can be entirely anonymous: you do not need to identify yourself to help build the global picture.
